The government on Monday informed Parliament that it has invited bids to upgrade Delhi-Hapur section of the National Highway (NH) 24 into an expressway.
Minster of State (MoS) for Road Transport and Highways Pon Radhakrishnan said that the date for bids for Delhi-Hapur section has been kept on December 15, 2015. The stretch is a part of the proposed 66-km long Delhi-Meerut expressway. It has been envisaged to be developed in three stages.
“Feasibility study of remaining projects is in different stages. The work shall be taken up after finalisation of feasibility study and completion of land acquisition activity,” the minister informed the Rajya Sabha.
